With Alligator I get a 3-4 dB BOOST when it's at it's default settings (when using a tone). If you test it with a noise source it should be the same level at all settings of the dry/wet control. It's how a dry/wet control works in most cases, but in this case you are probably getting a slight dip when this knob is around the center position because it's delays we're talking about. That's the curve the dry/wet knob is using. I'm sure Reason is being silly again lol! Only thing it did is add more or less effect. I just had a look on FL Studio to see if a the Fruity Delay 2 made the volume of one channel with only that sound playing reduce in volume and it didn't. Doesn't say anything in the manual about the dry/wet affecting the volume. If I turn the dry / wet down it starts to return to normal again. The diffusion and filter sections aren't active either and I'm using it as an insert if that makes any difference. Why is this? without getting pedantic, it's about 5dB it's reducing it by looking at the spectrum eq. Again, the second time in the space of a week where an effect device (the first being the Alligator) and now the Echo has reduced the volume of the sound I'm affecting.
